Green Amethyst | Amethyst Stone | Faceted Briolettes Green Amethyst sage agate is believedGreen amethyst in its natural state is a very translucent green color, like the color of a caterpillar's cocoon as it transforms into a butterfly. The amethyst stone is known for its purple color, but when it is exposed to high amounts of heat, perhaps from magma or other forces within the earth's crust, it can also be transformed into this sheer sage gem. The purple amethyst has had enough time in the spotlight. Maybe it is even old hat by now.
